KAMPONG KHLEANG SPORTS FACILITY

Chong Prolay is a fishing village located within Kampong Khleang commune on the Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Cambodia. The local primary school is the first and only floating school in the village and serves around 100 children. Students mainly learn basic arithmetic and reading skills, but did not have access to a playground or recreational sports facility.

In the interest of the school and local community the Gumball 3000 Foundation funded the construction of a full-sized floating volleyball court, which also serves as a recreational playground for the local children. This facility is attached to Chong Prolay Primary School, which was also refurbished as part of the project.
