MUSTANG FASTBACK RESTORATION

As part of the Gumball 3000 Foundation Charity Auction held in Nashville during the 2022 Toronto to Miami Rally, the Foundation and Project Wreckless auctioned off two 1966/67 Mustang Fastback shells as part of a car restoration project. The Project Wreckless youth rebuilt each car to the desired specs of the winning bidders.

This amazing initiative gave Project Wreckless youth the opportunity to utilise and develop their mechanical skills on both a fun and challenging project, enhancing their skill sets for future employment opportunities. A number of youth have gained work experience and internships at global car manufacturers as a result of their engagement with the Project Wreckless programme.

This project also gave Gumballers the opportunity to engage with the Project Wreckless youth who built their cars during a workshop in San Francisco.
